what makes you qualified?

Here at The Paws Pack UK, we ensure that every member of our team has extensive training. This includes theory and hands on. We undergo both internal and externally certified tests and are always adding to our knowledge. We are proud to say that every pack leader is trained in dog handling, recognising canine behavioural traits, DBS checked and Pet First Aid & CPR trained as a bare minimum. All of our walkers have at least 12 month experience working with animals and some are qualified trainers and groomers too!

How long have you been open?

Established in 2019, we have been growing our walking, training and pet sitting side to the business starting in Preston, Lancashire and expanding into South Ribble by early 2020. In late 2020, we opened our dog grooming parlour and shop on Watery Lane, Ashton-On-Ribble and then opened our Southport, Merseyside branch in late 2022.

WALKING

Since we are a team of walkers, our availability and flexibility is great! If you are able to give set days, we are able to help! If you would like one off walks week by week, we can still help however the timings will have to be more flexible.

WHAT IS YOUR AVAILABLITY?

GROOMING

With two dog groomers and one groomers assistant, we are slightly easier to book into compared to other local dog groomers. We tend to book up 1 - 2 weeks in advance for week days and 4 weeks in advance for Saturdays. You can book your appointment online here.

TRAINING

Just like with our walking, our training is fairly flexible with availability too! If you would like to see our training availability, head to our training booking page here.

where do you walk the dogs?

This varies from walk to walk. It depends who is on the walk, where the live and who has a good walking spot near them. Looking the areas of all our branches have great walks wherever you are so the dogs never have too far to go. Once everyone has been collected the fun can commence!

HOW MANY DOGS GET WALKED ON A SOCIAL WALK AT ONE TIME?

Again, this varies from walk to walk. We match dogs on energy not size or location. We are insured for up to six dogs per walker however some socials may have two or three dogs on. We care about the care, health and wellbeing of your pooch and put this above all else. We don't cram the maximum number of dogs on to one walk just because we can. We do what is right for the dogs on the walks to maximise the amount of fun that can happen!

my dog doesn’t have any recall so cannot go off lead, can they still join in?

Yes, our only criteria is that the dogs are social and old enough! With this said if any dogs cause issues on walks, we will be the first to fill you in and work with you to solve the issues. For example, your dog doesn't have recall but is dying to play offlead with their friends? No problem! Why not book in for a recall training session? You can do this here.

How many training sessions will i need?

This one is impossible to answer without meeting you and your dog and having one training session first. It is entirely dependant on the dog and the training behaviour. However, we have had multiple clients who have had success after just one training session. We teach you how to train your dog with positive reinforcement training.
